TOP NEWS

MANCHESTER: Manchester United has sacked manager David Moyes due to his dismal performance in the season this year, ARY News reports.

The defending Premier League Champions Manchester United had appointed David Moyes as manager 10 months ago after former manager Sir Alex Ferguson had announced his retirement.

It should be noted that Alex Ferguson had nominated Moyes as Manager of the team. Moyes made a six year deal with United after leaving Everton.

Moyes was shown the door after he failed to live up to the club's expectations. They are currently standing at 7th place in the league table and have already been eliminated from the F.A Cup and UEFA Champions League.

In a statement, Manchester United said that they were thankful of Moyes' service towards the team.

The new manager has not been appointed yet but it is being said that veteran United player Ryan Giggs could manage the side in the match against Norwich.
