In a fix over whether to choose her in-laws, the comfort of her home and the love of her husband over justice for her friend and her bereaved family, Mannat finally chooses the latter and does the unimaginable.

As ARY Digital’s “Cheekh” entered its 10th episode on Saturday, Mannat (played by Saba Qamar) finally drew the battle lines and decided to take it head on against Wajih (played by Bilal Abbas Khan) even if it means going against her in-laws’ wishes, who have so far protected Wajih.

The lady, who was about to fly to US, had to finally take the step as Wajih asked her to “pray for Ramzan Chacha” (Nayab’s father fighting for justice for her late daughter).  As Wajih had earlier said that when she will comeback, Ramzan “may not be there”, Mannat just reaches her late friend’s home to meet her father only to know that he has been arrested over “unknown” charges by the police.

Seeing the old man being beaten by police and forced to sit in a police station for no reason proved to be the breaking point for Mannat and she finally takes the decision, the right decision.

Coincidentally, Mannat meets the SSP of the area and registers the rape/murder First Information Report (FIR) against her brother-in-law, reaches home and gets her arrested.

The whole thing happens in front of Haya’s (Mannat’s friend and sister-in-law played by Azekah Daniel) would be in-laws who were there to fix a date for her marriage.

While Mannat’s family, especially her elder brother-in-law, is trying their best to make her withdraw the FIR, Mannat is in no mood to do that!

What is waiting ahead is a long legal battle and a test of her nerves, will she be able to cope up with all that is coming her way?
