Going by the first trailer of the film, Rani Mukerji suits the part of a tough cop handling a sensitive case on girl trafficking in India.
Unlike the usual Rani Mukerji and Yash Raj Film, ‘Mardaani’ is about the pressing issue of women trafficking.
The trailer of the film that is written by Gopi Puthran and directed by Pradeep Sarkar of ‘Parineeta’ fame silences Rani’s critics who had crushed her Bollywood career.
Apart from Rani, the film stars actor Jisshu Sengupta. The film is all set to release on August 22, 2014.
