Mardan Lynching: Mashal Khan’s father complains little action against masterminds

ISLAMABAD: Father of slain journalism student at Abdul Wali Khan University (AWKU) – Mashal Khan – on Friday complained that no action has been taken against the masterminds of the lynching incident of his victim son, except those who acted on the direction of the conspirators, ARY News reported.

“The actors have been apprehended but the directors are still out of sight”, Iqbal Khan said while talking to media persons outside the Supreme Court building here.

Lamenting that his son would not return, Iqbal Khan said that he want to save other youngsters by bringing the main culprits – who staged the entire plot – to justice.

He thanked the Chief Justice of the apex court for taking suo motu notice on the matter. “The university administration even did not lodge an FIR”, he said.

It is worth mentioning here that Khyber Pakthunkhwa police claimed to arrest at least 54 suspects for their involvement in the lynching incident at AWKU in Mardan including the four who were arrested yesterday after police combed through videos surfaced in the aftermath of the incident.
