Martial law will plunge country into crisis: Imran

TOP NEWS

“Those who rigged elections were subsequently rewarded by the government,” he told a news conference at his residence in Bani Gala in Islamabad.

Khan said until this government was in power, no inquiry was possible of the ‘rigged’ elections. “They are afraid of re-counting because they know their misdeeds.”

“Nawaz Sharif is Pakistan’s Hosni Mubarak. Khan said we had no option but to take to the streets. Army is no solution to country’s problems”, he stressed.

He appealed the bureaucracy, police and civil service officials to save the country and not become the obey orders of Sharif family.

“If you play wrong role, he said, and if you resorted to any illegal unconstitutional move then country will head towards anarchy,” he warned while hinting strong reaction if azadi march was stopped.

“This is a historic rally of masses coming on August 14 in Islamabad. Real democracy always prospers the country. People don’t pay taxes because they have mistrust on incumbent rulers.”

Khan said: “We are taking record number of taxes while rulers are living lavishing lives.”

There is nobody to hold these rulers accountable, whose properties are overseas. Sensing defeat after PTI’s October 30 tsunami on Menar-e-Pakistan in Lahore, the Sharif family planned to rig the polls.

They appointed Fakhru bhai as chief Election Commission, but PML-N delegated real powers to subsidiaries of the CEC to rig elections.

Former chief justice Iftikhar Chaudhary, Justice (retired) Ramday and Najam Sethi were the main characters behind election rigging

He said that Sethi transferred police officers but did not make any change.

“We have a witness who saw ballot boxes being moved to the residence of Khwaja Saad Rafique. They did not open four constituencies as they knew they were wrong. Justice ® Ramday was behind returning officers to rig ballot papers,” said the PTI chief.
