KARACHI: Maryam Nawaz on Tuesday turned down the media reports that her uncle and Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif in a meeting advised her to abstain from politics of confrontation with the state institutions, ARY News reported.
The former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s daughter said she had gone for salam to her uncle’s where he most lovingly treated her to a lavish afternoon tea.
She expressed surprise “to see the spin given (to the casual meeting) by media.”

According to local media, Maryam held a meeting with her uncle after six months. Sources said Shehbaz said the country could not undertake any ‘adventure’.
“Confrontation with institutions is not in favour of the country and misunderstandings among institutions should be removed,” he said.
