Maulana says was aware of ‘talks’ reality
QUETTA: Chief of Jamiat-e-Ulema Islam-Fazl, Maulana Fazlul Rehman said military offensive was never halted in Waziristan areas, ARY News reported Friday.
Talking to media at Quetta airport, Maulana said he knew the reality of peace talks [with Taliban]; hence he decided to stay away from the process.
He said military operation was going on from the very first day in Waziristan.
When asked about the ongoing media issues, the JUI-F chief said media should be given freedom of expression, but not in an uncontrolled manner.
