Met department predicts rainfall in KP, Kashmir for next two days

The met department, in its whether outlook for the next 48 hours, predicted widespread rain-thundershower accompanied by strong gusty winds is expected in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan divisions), upperPunjab(Sargodha, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore divisions), Islamabad, FATA and Kashmir with isolated hailstorm while at scattered places in Gilgit-Baltistan, Bannu, D.I Khan, Faisalabad, and Sahiwal divisions, Isolated in Multan, D.G Khan and Bahawalpur divisions.

“However, Scattered heavy downpours at times very heavy is expected in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa(Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan divisions) and Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, and Lahore divisions. Dry weather is expected in Sindh and Balochistan”, the weather department said.

The highest rainfall was recorded at Khuzdar with 37 mm, Kalat 36 mm, Quetta 34 mm, Jhang 32 mm, Barkhan 24 mm, Dalbandin 23 mm, Sibbi and Zhob 22 mm, Mandibahauddin 19 mm, D.I.Khan 18 mm, Dir 15 mm, Lower Dir 14 mm, Sargodha 13 mm, Cherat, D.G.Khan 12 mm, Panjgur 11 mm, Mianwali 10 mm, Bannu and Malamjaba 9 mm, Kohat 08 mm, Islamabad and Saidu Sharif 07 mm, Gujranwala and Nokkundi 06 mm, Faisalabad, Jacobabad, Larkana, Multan and Rawalpindi 05 mm, Mirkhani, Garhi Dupatta and Muzaffarabad 04, Jhelum, Mangla and Peshawar 03 mm, Kotli, Murree and Rawalakot 02 mm, Toba Tek Singh, Drosh, Sialkot A/P, Risalpur and Pasni with 01 mm.
