The Metro Bus project underway in Southern Punjab’s city Multan has become deadly for workers as the authorities advise no precautionary measures.
The two laborers electrocuted to death today were identified as Shafqat and Iqbal. They were working on the project near Vihari Chowk that they incidentally had a contact with high-voltage power transmission lines.
As a consequence, the ill-fated workers were killed on the spot. Another injured of the incident was shifted to Nishtar Hospital.
The project has claimed lives of seven other workers in the past, while the administration of the project has been silent over the casualties.
