Mid-term elections will not be held, says Khursheed

SUKKUR: Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly (NA), Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah has said that mid term elections will not be held in the country, ARY News reports on Saturday.

Speaking to the media at Sukkur Public School, Syed Khursheed Shah said that the Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan is a sensible person and should realize about the statements he made in the Parliament.

He claimed that he does not want the Interior Minister to apologize for his statements rather they want him to take back his words.

Opposition Leader, talking on the drone attacks, said that it was a good omen for the country that the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN) has passed the resolution to stop the attacks.

"It will be injustice for the country if the attacks do not stop now", he added.

He also said that the Foreign Office will have to come forward and convince the world to stop the attacks through diplomacy.

Syed Khursheed Shah further said that midterm elections will not be held in the country as it is not in the favor of Pakistan neither his party desires so.

Talking on the Kishen Ganga Dam issue, he stated that the issue is a life or death matter for Pakistan and the International Court of Justice has given the decision in favor of the country. He claimed that the dam should not be made in any situation.
