PESHAWAR: Pakistani military's gunship helicopters overflying South Waziristan region targeted hideouts of terrorists on Thursday, ARY News reports.
According to sources, three gunship helicopters targeted Zarkani Luni and adjacent areas in South Waziristan tribal region along with tehsil Kalachi of Dera Ismail Khan.
Moreover, six gunship helicopters dropped bombs in Mehsud region in Wana, the main town of the South Waziristan tribal agency.
The gunships continued shelling targeting the hideouts and positions of the militants in the area for almost two hours. The helicopters also attacked militants' hideouts in the mountainous range in the region.
The helicopters were still overflying the region, sources added.
