The horrible incident of throwing of a Christian couple into a brick-kiln and burning of the ill-fated husband and wife to ashes has left every soul, who heard of it, in trauma. The incident was condemned in strongest of the words at social, political as well as religious level across the country.
On Friday, Minister for Religious Affairs, Sardar Yousuf and the Khateeb of Badshahi Mosque, Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad arrived at the Clarkabad Church, Kot Radha Kishan, where the minister announced Rs 5 lac compensation for the family of deceased Shehzad Maseeh and Shama Bibi.
Sardar Yousuf on this occasion said that such a barbaric and inhumane incident cannot be forgiven at all and his government has taken serious notice of it.
He assured that the accused mobsters under the police custody will be dealt with strictly and no leniency will be exhibited towards them.
