Minister castigates Imran for 14-August protest plan
LAHORE: Law Minister Punjab Rana Mashood said Imran Khan wants to transform national independence into slavery through his public rally on August 14, ARY News reported Monday.
Talking to media after laying foundation stone of lady professors’ hostel in Lahore, the minister said Khan was working on foreign agenda and not the Pakistan establishment.
He said Khan’s call for protest on the independence day had exposed his intents. He said Dr. Tahirul Qadri had even no idea about political parties backing him.
He suggested that Imran Khan should serve his money on displaced persons of North Waziristan, instead of using them on his rallies.
Highlighting all political leaders who participated in the multi-party conference called by Dr. Qadri on June 29, the minister said he would meet in person with Allamma Raja Nasir Abbas and tried to remove his misconceptions [about the government].
He was of the view that opposition wanted to do politics on Model Town incident. He informed that the federal government would soon be expanded.
