Minister for indiscriminate action against power theft

LAHORE: State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali said indiscriminate action will be taken against whosoever found involved in power theft, ARY News reported Tuesday.

Talking to media here, the state minister said across the board action would be taken against people, even a minister, found involved in electricity pilferage across the country.

“Those paying the bills will get electricity, while those involved in theft will go behind bars,” he said while talking to journalists.

He said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had allocated a handsome amount for improvement in power generation and distribution system.

He told that a summary had been prepared in this regard, which will be presented soon.
