ISLAMABAD: Ministry of Water and Power has announced the decrease of Rs. 1 per unit in electricity tariff however the reduction will not apply on consumers of K-Electric (Karachi), ARY News reported.
According to National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA), the reduction has been made on fuel adjustment charges for the month of March and it will be applied ofr the billing of next month.
The decrease in power tariff is due to the increase in electricity production, sources revealed.
The line loses has also been reduced to a great extent to 13 paisas per unit, they said.
The electricity production in the month of March from Coal was Rs.4.39 per unit, from Furnace oil Rs.16.22 per unit and from Gas, its Rs.4.62 per unit.
