Minor earthquake hits central Punjab, no loss reported

LAHORE: A 4-5 magnitude earthquake has jolted Lahore, Faisalabad and several other cities of central Punjab in the evening on Thursday, after which a wave of fear swept across the masses – ARY News reports.

According to details, tremor shocks of intensity 4-5 at the Richter scale rocked several cities of central Punjab including Lahore, Faisalabad, Sheikhupura, Okara, Gujranwala and adjacent areas. People, soon after the earthquake, came out of their homes and offices to avoid any mishap and telephoned their loved ones to inquire about their well-being.

Our correspondent told that there are miscellaneous reports about the intensity of the quake, whereas the meteorological department is still busy finding out the epicenter of the earthquake.

Tremor shocks were also felt in remote areas of Lahore, Chuniaan and Chhanga Manga, however, no loss of life or property was reported fortunately.
