Minorities have equal rights in Pakistan: Bilawal Bhutto

KARACHI: Chairman of Pakistan’s People Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said on Monday that minorities residing in Pakistan have equivalent rights, ARY News reported.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari attended a ceremony regarding Christmas Day as chief guest at National Museum in Karachi and extended Christmas greetings to Christians living across Pakistan and the world.

Speaking on the occasion, he said funds have been raised to rehabilitate Peshawar Church and ensured collection of more fund to help the victims and their families in Peshawar Church blasts.

Bilawal said that PPP has always raised the voice for the rights of minorities suggesting to maintain harmony among the people belonging to different religion in order to maintain peace in the country.

"Quaid Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah always emphasized to safeguard rights of minorities and the only way of achieving progress is to maintain brotherhood with each other”, he added.

Bilawal was accompanied with Sherry Rehman, Shermila Farroqi and Husnain Mirza.
