Miranshah now under complete control of armed forces: ISPR

MIRANSHAH: Armed forces have gained complete control over Miranshah, said ISPR in a statement here.

DG ISPR said more than 100 hideouts of militants had been destroyed through air strikes by PAF jet fighters.

He said first phase of operation had been completed. In the next phase, all landmine tunnels will be destroyed, he told

“No citizen was killed in action by security forces till date”, said the DG ISPR. He added that huge cache of weapons were recovered in search operation.

He said Afghanistan must take action against militants fleeing North Waziristan. Explosives weighing over 23 tonnes are recovered during raids of security forces. At least 400 militants including foreign fighters were killed in operation Zarb-e-Azb so far.

“Eleven bomb-making factories were captured during the operation.”
