According to Police, five police officers including two SHOs were killed in the shootout whereas the incharge of A-Section Police Station Hassan Ali is amongst the wounded.
Four dacoits including Chotu Narejo and Qurban Narejo were gunned down in the operation, according to the law enforcement agencies. Large numbers of weapons were recovered from the slain dacoits.
It is said that the slain dacoits were involved in kidnapping and target killing offences in Sindh.
The area was cleared after the operation was complete.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Hyderabad, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Hyderabad and several police officers of four police stations took part in the operation.
