KARACHI: The Mutahidda Qaumi Movement will stage protest demonstration outside Karachi Press Club (KPC) for release of missing party workers, ARY News reported Thursday.
According to party officials, a large number of MQM workers and sympathizers will converge at the KPC at 5pm to register their protest.
Rabita Committee (RC) said plain-clothed officials, driving double-cabin vans, were picking MQM workers and supporters and subjecting them to torture.
The RC members said officials were seeking millions of rupees to release the detained party workers.
“Five of the MQM workers were extra-judicially killed within a month,” they said.
They alleged that police had arrested 11 MQM workers since Tuesday night.
