Misty conditions disturb life in Punjab, K-P

LAHORE: Dense fog descends over Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for second day disturbing normal life, ARY News reported on Wednesday.

Misty conditions have disturbed vehicular and air traffic. Several sections of motorway have been closed due to zero visibility, while fog related road accidents have become a routine. Several flights from Lahore have been cancelled, delayed or diverted.

At least a man died and two others seriously injured in a traffic mishap at Melsi road in Tabba Sultanpur due to fog related visibility problem. 

In another accident at Bhussi road in Pir Mahal four students were injured. 

M-III section of motorway from Pindi Bhattian to Faisalabad has been closed for traffic due to intense fog and low visibility.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, fog engulfs the road from Peshawar to Nowshera. Apart of vehicular traffic misty conditions have also disturbed the railways schedule. The air traffic also suffering delays and diversions at Bacha Khan airport of Peshawar.
