Hafiz Naeem, a resident of Kasur, was captured by furious mob during the protest and mistook him as terrorist. The mob subsequently subjected Naeem, who was professionally a shopkeeper, to serious smashing and burned him to death.
Naeem’s brother approached the police station in Nashtar Colony and submitted plea to register a case. While a victim’s friend Rana Muhammad Abbas has termed government responsible for killing of Naeem.

Police said the case would be filed once the investigation was completed.
