Model Town carnage: JIT hands clean chit to PM, Punjab CM, other ministers
According to details, the JIT in its report handed clean chit to the Prime Minister, Punjab CM and other nominated ministers.
The report, which surfaced after 11 months held SP Security and ten other cops responsible for the tragic event which claimed lives of 11 people.
“There was no contact made between then provincial law minister Rana Sanaullah and the DIG Operations at the time of incident,” read the report.
The JIT also quoted that nearly two to three thousand workers of Pakistan Awami Tehreek clashed with police on June 17, 2014.
On the other hand, PAT termed the report a ‘pack of lies’.
PAT central president Raheeq Abbasi said that the report was already prepared.
“The JIT was formed with a purpose to hand clean chit to actual killers of the people, we never accepted this JIT nor we accept this so-called report,” he maintained.
