Model Town report declared no one guilty of killings, says Mashood

LAHORE: The Law Minister of Punjab, Rana Mashood has said that the inquiry report of the Model Town incident did not declare anyone guilty of the killings, including Rana Sanaullah, ARY News reported.

Talking to media here on Wednesday, Rana Mashood said that officials did not take several aspects into account while preparing the report.

He added that a new joint investigation team (JIT) will be constituted that will probe the incident from all angles.

Mashood said that the Chief Minister, Shahbaz Sharif believes in merit and the report will be made public as soon as it is accomplished.

Commenting on the ongoing protest sit-ins in Islamabad, he lamented that the Chinese President postponed his visit to Pakistan, due to uncertain circumstances in the federal capital and the nation will hold the ones staging sit-ins accountable for this.
