Modi offers assistance to Pakistan following massive earthquake

NEW DELHI: Indian Premier Narendra Modi telephoned Pakistani Premier Nawaz Sharif and offered all possible assistance to Pakistan following a deadly earthquake which struck the country on Monday, ARY News reports.

At least 218 people were killed and more than a thousand people were injured were reportedly killed when 7.5 magnitude earthquake struck Pakistan.

“Spoke to PM Nawaz Sharif & expressed condolences on the loss of lives due to the quake. Offered all possible assistance from India”, Modi tweeted.

Earlier, he also thanked his Pakistani counterpart for returning mute and deaf girl named Geeta to the country.
