NEW DELHI: Narendra Modi has been elected the parliamentary leader of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday, ARY News reported.
The party veteran LK Advani in a meeting of BJP here today proposed the name of Narendra Modi as the parliamentary leader of the party in the lower house. The decision formally paved the way for the three-time Gujarat Chief Minister to become the prime minister of India.
Advani's proposal was seconded by the party stalwarts Sushma Swaraj, Nitin Gadkari, Murli Manohar Joshi and others.
Modi in a presidential election like campaign in the recent general elections of India guided BJP to a landslide victory.
