The hashtag #ModiAttacksGurdaspur remained on top on Twitter trends in Pakistan with users mostly condemning India for its baseless accusations against Pakistan.
India tightened security on its border with Pakistan on Monday after gunmen stormed a police station in Gurdaspur district of Punjab, killing six people and injuring several others.
The men, dressed in army uniforms, attacked the police station as security forces surrounded the building in the town of Dinanagar, about 20 km from the border.
