KARACHI: Citizens woke up to pleasant weather in the metropolis on Wednesday morning as various parts of the city received light rainfall.
The meteorological department has forecast cloudy weather in the city with light rainfall expected to continue intermittently throughout the day. The minimum and maximum temperature will remain 29 and 34 degrees Celsius, respectively.
According to the Met office, the monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal have started to penetrate north-eastern parts of the country.
These currents are likely to intensify from Thursday. A westerly wave is also expected to prevail over the upper parts of the country from Wednesday.
The weather department said rain/thundershower with gusty winds is expected at scattered places in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat divisions, FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and Islamabad .
Whereas, very hot and humid weather is expected elsewhere in the country.
