Weather turns pleasant with drizzle in Lahore

LAHORE: The weather turned pleasant with overcast sky in Lahore after isolated drizzle in different parts of the city on Saturday morning.

According to details, the light rainfall in the early hours sent the temperature down with the maximum and minimum temperatures predicted to remain at 41 Celsius and 26 Celsius degrees.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said a westerly wave is affecting western parts of the country and likely to grip upper parts of the country from tonight and expected to persist in upper and central parts of the country during next 4 to 5 days.

Rain-thundershower with gusty winds/dust-storm is expected at isolated places in KP, FATA, Islamabad, Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Multan, D.G.Khan, Faisalabad and Sahiwal divisions), Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Quetta, Zhob and Kalat divisions.

Hot and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country.

Weather remained hot and dry in most parts of the country. However isolated rainfall reported at Khuzdar in Balochistan.

The maximum temperature in the country, was recorded 49°C in Larkana, followed by 48°C in Shaheed Benazirabad, Dadu, Jaccobabad, Moenjodaro, and 47°C in Rahim yar khan and Padidan.
