Police suspects murder as mother-of-three found dead in TAK
TANDO ADAM KHAN: Police initiated investigation over suspicions of murder after recovering a tortured body of a woman in Tando Adam Khan, ARY News reported on Wednesday.
Relatives of the deceased woman, identified as Rukhsana who was mother-of-three, termed the incident as a suicide, whereas, police expressed suspicions of murder and launched a probe.
The dead body was handed over to the relatives after post-mortem at taluka hospital.
Police said that the dead body of Rukhsana, wife of Dost Ali Lakho, was recovered with dislocated neck’s hyoid bone which was later shifted to taluka hospital for post mortem.
The maternal uncle of the deceased woman, Urs Lakho, said that her husband was a labourer in Karachi while Rukhsana was residing alone in the house. He claimed that she committed suicide due to poverty as the family has no enmity with anyone.
Station House Officer (SHO) said that the shanty, from where the dead body was recovered, is located five feet high from the land which increased suspicions of a murder case. He said that police will hold a thorough probe into the incident.
Moreover, doctors at taluka hospital said that specimens of the deceased woman were collected for further medical checkup which would be sent to Karachi. Doctors have also expressed suspicions for murder signs in the incident, however, a final report will be issued later.
Till the last report, police has not filed the case.
