KARACHI: A motorcyclist was killed on Saturday evening after being rammed by a speeding truck near Johar roundabout in Karachi, ARY News reported.
The motorcyclist was rushed to hospital but succumbed to his injuries on the way. The truck driver managed to escape while efforts are afoot to apprehend him.
Enraged residents set the truck ablaze in the middle of the road. A fire brigade has been called to diffuse the fire after which the vehicle will be taken to the nearest police station where a case will be registered.
The burning vehicle has caused chaos in the area and created a huge traffic jam on the road from Alladin Park to Shahrah-e-Faisal.
