British diplomat all-praises for Motorway Police for rescuing him

ISLAMABAD: Dylan Butcher, a British High Commission official in Islamabad  who was stranded on Lahore-Islamabd Motorway M2 and rescued by Motorway Police, has expressed his gratitude for the organisation, ARY News reported.

In a letter addressed to DIG Motorway Police Ashfaq Ahmed Khan, a copy of which is available with ARY News, Mr Butcher, Rule of Law Advisor with the UK Government, wrote that his diplomatic vehicle broke down last month on the motorway near Sukheki and he was stranded for nearly four hours.

“But [I] was extremely pleased with the service provided by your fine officers. From the moment that I contacted your control centre, the arrival of the mobile workshop personnel and the complete calm and professionalism offered by your patrol officers, I was thoroughly satisfied with the service.”

The diplomat further personally thanked officers Asghar Ali and one other for their professionalism and for keeping him updated.

Mr Butcher thanked the DIG, saying that he had the gratitude. He also requested the DIG to let the officers concerned know how happy he had been.
