LAHORE: The Motorway Police has suspended two officers over an incident wherein a male passenger harassed and verbally abused a bus hostess of a private transportation company.

A passenger, pretending to be an officer of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), harassed a bus hostess and threatened her of grave consequences over serving him water late, while the bus was passing through Pindi Bhattian.

As the video of the incident went viral on social media, the National Highways & Motorway Police (NH&MP) suspended woman inspector Naseem Kaliyar and officer Israr Ahmed for not taking immediate legal action against the rude man.

According to the NH&MP, the private transportation company’s bus was travelling on the Lahore-Islamabad route — the M2 Motorway — on Sunday night.

The passenger abused the bus hostess and threatened her before all the passengers. He said that he would offload her from the bus and would arrest her.

On the occasion, other passengers tired to dissolve the issue but the man continued misbehaving with the bus hostess. Later, on the complaint of passengers, motorway police offloaded the man from the bus.
