MQM delegation meets Dr Tahir ul Qadri

LAHORE: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader, Haider Abbas Rizvi said Friday that his party is reviewing the political situation of the country, after which a decision will be made about supporting Dr Tahir ul Qadri in his struggle, ARY News reported.

According to details, MQM delegation headed by Haider Abbas Rizvi met the chief of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT), Dr Tahir ul Qadri at the Minhaj ul Quran Secretariat here on Friday and condoled him over the Model Town incident, which claimed lives of more than a dozen PAT workers.

Talking to media after meeting the PAT chief, Haider Abbas Rizvi said MQM has always supported Dr Qadri’s stance, while currently his party is analyzing the political scenario of the state and decision will be made after consultation.

Meanwhile, PAT leader, Raheeq Abbasi said that discussion regarding a call for the day of revolution, is in final stages.

Speaking about Government’s decision of deploying military in Islamabad, Rizvi said it will be later unveiled what was the good of this move, however no such thing should be happened that could harm democracy.
