MQM delegation to meet PM on Thursday

KARACHI: A Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) delegation will meet Pakistan’s Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Thursday accepting a formal invitation from Pakistan government, ARY News reported.

MQM’s Rabita (co-ordination) committee called an all parliamentarian session on Tuesday to discuss the minutes of the meeting. Party chief Altaf Hussain will address the meeting.

MQM members of National and Provincial Assembly have been called from Islamabad to Karachi.  RC members and party’s central executive members will also attend the session.

According to details, the federal government contacted MQM’s top leadership and formally invited them for a meeting which the party accepted and will meet the PM on Thursday in Prime Minister’s House.

On the other hand, Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rasheed and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senator Rehman Malik also talked to MQM chief Altaf Hussain on phone and exchanged views on country’s political situation.
