MQM expected to join ‘Inqilabi march’ against govt: sources

KARACHI: The Mutahidda Qaumi Movement is expected to announce its participation in ‘Inqilaab march’ (revolution march) being taken out against the government by Dr. Tahirul Qadri-led Pakistan Awami Tehreek on August 14 (tomorrow), ARY News reported.

Sources told that MQM chief Altaf Hussain was likely to make announcement in this connection in his telephonic address shortly today.

Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is also taking out independence march against the government the same day.

According to a MQM spokesman, Hussain is analyzing the current political developments in the country.

The MQM chief has appealed the prime minister to order removal of barricades and containers in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. He said public lives and property should be protected during long march at all cost.

The spokesman said that Tahir ul Qadri, Sheikh Rashid and Chaudhry brothers were in contact with Altaf Hussain.
