The process of reconciling MQM has been sped up after Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s consultation with parliamentary leaders today.

In one such bid, a one-on-one meeting took place between Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and MQM leader Farooq Sattar.

During the meeting, Sattar informed Dar about his party’s reservations on Karachi Operation and demands for return to assemblies.

A similar discussion was held between Sattar and JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman on telephone today.

The MQM demanded for the formation of a monitoring team to supervise Karachi Operation and prevention of targeted killings of its workers.

The party also called for informing it about missing party activists and to produce before courts those already under arrest.

Farooq Sattar also exchanged views with Dar and Fazl on reservations mentioned in the 19-point protest letter MQM presented yesterday.
