KARACHI: While expressing grave concern over ‘extrajudicial killing’ of its workers, Mutahidda Qaumi Movement announced to observe Youm-e-Soug (day of mourning) on Saturday (tomorrow), ARY News reported.
Addressing a press conference here on Friday, MQM leader Syed Haider Abbas Rizivi appealed the transporters and traders to demonstrate support and keep their businesses shut.
He told that one of the party activists, Muhammad Salman, was picked up by elements attired in police uniform on February 3 and the next day his body was found in Landhi.
He added that the body of Muhammad Salman bore brutal torture marks.
Mr. Rizvi said 45 workers of MQM were missing so far and the party had no information whether they were alive.
He demanded that a judicial commission be formed to probe extrajudicial killing of MQM workers.
