KARACHI: A Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) worker was shot dead while another sustained wounds when unidentified armed men opened indiscriminate fire on party’s union council office in North Karachi, ARY News reported.
The firing incident took place in North Karachi’s UC-6 area.
Speaking to ARY News, MQM-P leader Khawaja Izharul Hassan confirmed that a party worker was killed in the firing while another sustained wounds.

Later, while talking to media at the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, MQM-P leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui demanded the government to inquire the matter within 48 hours.
“MPA Usama Qadri, Khwaja Izhar ul Hassan’s offices have been attacked in past and now this has happened. The government needs to ensure the safety of MQM-P members”, he said.
On the other hand, Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) leader Raza Haroon contacted MQM-P leaders Aamir Khan and Faisal Sabzwari and condemned the incident.
