Former federal minister and PPP leader Dr Asim Hussain was produced in anti-terrorism court II today under the charges of facilitating terrorists and providing them medical care facilities at his hospitals in Karachi.
Dr Asim has been presently in the custody of National Accountability Bureau facing charges of illegal encroachment of government land and sending billions of rupees money to overseas.
The court today issued non-bailable arrest warrants of MQM nominee for Karachi mayor Waseem Akhtar, other party leaders Rauf Siddiqui, Saleem Shahzad, Anees Qaimkhani, People’s Party’s Qadir Patel and Pasban secretary general Usman Moazzim.
The court also ordered the investigating officer to arrest and produce MQM’s Waseem Akhtar, Anis Qaimkhani, Saleem Shahzad, PPP’s Qadir Patel and Pasban leader Usman Moazzam before the court on the date of the next hearing on January 8.
