MQM presses for passport issuance to Altaf
KARACHI: The MQM Rabita (coordination) Committee has demanded issuance of passport to party chief Altaf Hussain, ARY News reported.
Addressing a press conference, MQM leader Haider Abbas Rizvi said it seemed a covert hand was involved behind non-issuance of passport to Altaf Hussain. We will approach every relevant forum to seek our right, said Rizvi.
“It lies with Nadra staff to facilitate MQM chief being a Pakistani,” he added.
He said prime minister and interior minister must take notice of service restoration of Nadra members in Pakistan, who were suspended in London.
It was very discriminatory, he said, at the end of State Minister on Interior Baleegh-ur-Rehman who said data in Nadra had been deleted.
The MQM leader thanked Mehmood Khan Achakzai, Javed Hashmi, Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Shahi Syed for supporting MQM’s demand for issuance of passport and NIC to Altaf Hussain in the National Assembly.
