MQM RC condemns abduction, killings of workers

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Rabita Committee (RC) has demanded the authorities to prevent the abduction and killings of MQM workers. Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that we are cooperating for the sake of restoring peace in the metropolis but the conspiracies against us must come to a halt – ARY News reports.

Addressing a press conference at MQM Secretariat Nine Zero, MQM RC strongly condemned the abduction and extra-judicial killings of its workers. Deputy Convener RC, Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that another MQM worker, Abdul Jabbar who was abducted from Jinnah Hospital a few days ago was found dead and his corpse was buried by the Edhi Center as an unknown person, at which the MQM is highly aggrieved and demands the authorities to abandon these conspiracies.

He added that this month 6 more MQM workers went missing and the overall count of such workers has reached up to 2 dozen, whereas hundreds have been killed.

Siddiqui said that the largest city of the country has been left at the hands of terrorists and th e law enforcement agencies (LEAs) are doing nothing to save the innocent people of Karachi.

The MQM leader said that we are not demanding any concession or security beyond the constitutional realm, whatever the political affiliation of the criminal is, they should be dealt with according to the law.
