KARACHI: Rabita Committee of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) termed not issuing the Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) to their party Chief Altaf Hussain as sheer injustice, ARY News reported.
In a statement issued on Monday, MQM RC warned for a countrywide protest if Altaf Hussain kept deprived from his basic right.
“There will be a nationwide protest, which government can’t restrict if Altaf Hussain doesn’t get his fundamental right”, it stated.
Spokesperson of Foreign Office Tasneem Aslam informed in a press briefing on April 17 that Altaf Hussain’s application has been received but NADRA as well as Interior Ministry denying of having MQM Chief’s application, which is strange, said MQM RC.
The MQM RC appealed President Mamnoon Hussain, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan to take serious notice of the matter.
