Speaking to media at Karachi airport after his arrival from London, Akhtar said JI and PTI must support MQM in the best interest of the Karachi populace.
Regarding curtailment of Mayor’s powers, the MQM leader said his party would talk to the Sindh government and move court, if needed, to get the issues resolved.
Farooq Sattar, who was also present on the occasion, said local government was the future of Pakistan.
Earlier, Waseem Akhtar had said that resolving Karachi’s water crisis and cleanliness issues would be his top priority as mayor.
