Speaking during ARY News show “Off The Record”, Amir Liaquat questioned MQM’s recent announcement of disowning party chief’s statements and maintained that the party should not have only dissociated itself from the anti-Pakistan statement but also the person.
“How can they keep supporting a person who urges them to raise Pakistan Murdabad (death to Pakistan) slogans and burns Pakistani flag,” said Liaquat who bid farewell to MQM and politics on August 23 citing the same reason.

Liaquat also claimed that he is receiving death threats through SMS and phone calls after leaving MQM and announced that if he is killed, MQM London and Altaf Hussain will be responsible.

He requested the MQM’s on-panel leader, Khawaja Izharul Hassan, not to call him a “MQM martyr” after his death as his “life and death are only for Pakistan”.

PSP leader demands security for Amir Liaquat
Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) leader Anees Advocate, who was also a part of program panel, claimed that Amir Liaquat is receiving death threats from MQM’s RAW and South Africa group.
“Altaf Hussain has reactivated the South Africa group of the party and ordered them to kill all who oppose him,” claimed Anees who himself remained a part of MQM in the past.
He appealed to the federal and Sindh government to provide security to Dr Amir Liaquat.
Anees further claimed that MQM chief just recently spoke to MQM South Africa and again spewed venom against Pakistan.
