MQM warns to show ‘real protest’ if Altaf not issued passport

TOP NEWS

ISLAMABAD: MQM Senator Tahir Mashhadi has warned of showing ‘real protest’ if MQM chief Altaf Hussain was not issued passport, ARY News reported Tuesday.

Talking to media outside the Parliament House, Mashhadi said Mr. Hussain had submitted all details and documents required to renew his passport. But the MQM chief is being persecuted constantly, he said.

“MQM is the third largest political party of Pakistan and such a cruel behavior of rulers with MQM chief is unacceptable,” said MQM senators in their statements.

Earlier on monday, Mashhadi had given an admonition, saying that his party could push Karachi into a lockdown mode if Altaf was not provided with his passport.
