In a telephonic conversation with MQM MPA Rauf Siddiqui, Altaf Hussain said that he is deeply grieved as during the MQM rally at Shahrah-e-Quaideen some leaders in their speeches challenged Imran Khan to hold a rally in Karachi.

MQM chief categorically stated that Imran Khan is a Pakistani citizen and can arrive in Karachi at will adding that MQM will welcome PTI chief if he comes to the port city.

Hussain ordered Rauf Siddiqui to pass on these words to media.

Earlier, during the MQM rally condemning PTI chief Imran Khan’s diatribe against Altaf Hussain, some MQM leaders while addressing Imran Khan said that Karachiites will never let a PTI rally take place in Karachi.

Tensions between the two parties rose when Imran Khan criticized MQM chief for using foul language against women attending PTI sit-ins along with using a derogatory term for party spokesperson Shireen Mazari.

MQM chief apologised to all who were hurt by his words especially the PTI spokesperson Shireen Mazari who demanded it from MQM chief in an ARY news show.

Mazari later accepted Altaf’s apology hoping that such instances will not be repeated in the future.
