MQM worker torture: Court orders submission of medical report
KARACHI: Sindh High Court has ordered the government authorities to avoid harrassment of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) worker Fahad Aziz, ARY News reported on Tuesday.
Chief Justice of Sindh High Court Justice Maqbool Baqar on a petition filed by MQM also ordered that the FIR and medical report of Aziz be submitted in the court within 15 days.
The court issued the directives during the hearing of the Fahad Aziz torture case today.
Muttahida Qaumi Movement has filed petition in the court claiming that around eight party workers have been killed while over 45 were missing.
The court has issued notices to the federal interior secretary, Sindh home secretary, I.G. police, Rangers chief and other officials of the law enforcement agencies on this plea.
Moreover,Hyder Abbas Rizvi, a member of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Rabita Committee has alleged that Karachi has been offered on contract to the police officers who don't belong to the city.
Rizvi, in ARY News talk show '11th Hour' also claimed that the number of the MQM workers gone missing has reached to 45, while 10 activists have been killed.
