Mufti Naeem urges Gov't to refrain from military offensive

KARACHI: Administrator of Jamia Binoria, Mufti Muhammad Naeem while expressing concerns over the deadlock in negotiations process between the Government and Taliban, has said that the Government by giving a go ahead for a military offensive has fallen prey to conspirators – ARY News reports.

In a statement issued on Thursday, Mufti Muhammad Naeem said that external as well as internal elements are also involved in sabotaging the negotiations between the Government and Taliban.

He mentioned that the state was also warned at the time of Laal Masjid Operation that the consequences of an operation will engulf the whole country, yet it did not refrain.

Mufti Naeem urged the Government to hold back from any military offensive for it will push the nation and the state into a never ending war.

The Administrator of Jamia Binoria also announced to observe a 'Prayer Day' tomorrow and religious scholars will urge the people to pray for the restoration of peace in the country at the Friday gatherings.
