MULTAN: Mufti Abdul Qavi, who rose to fame for his controversial photos with social media icon Qandeel Baloch, will undergo a polygraph test today (Wednesday) in Lahore.
Currently, the controversial cleric is being shifted to Lahore under the police custody.
He is expected to reach Lahore till noon, where he will undergo the polygraph test at Punjab Forensic Science Agency around 4:00 pm.
According to his doctor Zafar Alvi, the cleric has been suffering from cardiovascular disease over past four years and two stents have been placed so far to treat his condition.
Earlier this week, police arrested Qavi from a highway after a local court issued his arrest orders for his alleged role in Qandeel Baloch murder case.
According to officials, Qavi was arrested with help of the highway authorities, while he was fleeing to Jhang city.
Last week, a district and sessions court here dismissed his bail plea. Sessions Judge Chaudhry Amin while hearing Qandeel Murder case rejected a plea of Mufti Qavi, filed through his lawyer, for granting him bail in the case.
